VIVA Healthcare, since 2016, is exclusively working in health sector to solve the challenges of unequal access, capacity, capability, and affordability. Management Team
Sanjay Prasad
Sanjay is a Mechanical Engineer from IIT, Kanpur (1983 batch) and an MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad (1985 batch). He has also attended Strategy Programs at ISB, Hyderabad.He has over 35 years of experience in business strategy, acquisitions, deal structuring, corporate development, sales, marketing and supply chain in healthcare, media, telecom and consumer durable sectors with leading Companies including IQ City Foundation (4 years), Medica Synergie (7 years), Times of India (6 years), Hindustan Times (2 years), Ananda Bazar Patrika (4 years), South Korea Telekom (3 years) and Godrej (5 years).
Presently Sanjay is The Managing Partner at Viva Healthcare.
In his previous assignment, Sanjay has worked as the CEO of IQ City Foundation for over 4 years. The Foundation has promoted a Medical College (intake of 150 MBBS students per year), a 800 bed Teaching Hospital and a Nursing College at a 100 acre campus at Durgapur.
As CEO, he was responsible for ensuring delivery of the agreed business plans for the Education and Healthcare businesses. He successfully turned around the performance to an EBIDTA positive venture.
Prior to this, Sanjay has functioned as the CEO of Medica Superspecialty Hospital; a 350 bed Superspecialty hospital at Kolkata, promoted by Medica Synergie, a healthcare startup venture in Eastern India, focused on providing quality and affordable health services. He was also responsible for the Strategy and Business expansion function for the Group and meeting the expectations of the Private Equity Investors.
Sanjay also has over 12 years of rich experience, at a senior level, in the Media Industry and as CEO, ABP TV Pvt. Ltd., led the Strategy function of ABP Group in the last assignment. Initiated the Groups diversifications into Television, Radio and Internet space.
